About Me

Why choose RaMela?

Hi, I’m Mela.

By qualification, I hold a PhD in Agricultural and Environmental Science and have spent years in research, teaching, and professional work that required discipline, critical thinking, and resilience. By lived experience, I am a mother of two, a partner in a deeply supportive marriage, and someone who has learned—again and again—how to stand steady through change.

My spiritual journey began in 2020, during a period when life, like it did for many, felt uncertain and intense. I was navigating PhD studies, family responsibilities, global disruption from COVID, and the emotional aftershocks of having survived a major earthquake earlier in life. Like many families, mine was also touched by loss during the pandemic.

Life didn’t slow down—but it asked me to go inward.

Meditation, mindfulness, and conscious awareness became anchors. Not as an escape from reality, but as a way to meet reality with clarity, calm, and compassion. Over time, these practices helped me understand the power of the subconscious mind, regulate my nervous system, and live with greater presence—especially during life’s roller-coaster moments.

RaMela was born from this integration of science, lived experience, and inner practice. I don’t believe in perfection or bypassing emotions. I believe in:
  • Building gentle, sustainable habits
  • Honouring both logic and intuition
  • Creating space to breathe, reflect, and realign
  • Living consciously, even in busy, imperfect lives

RaMela is a space for people who are holding many roles—professionals, parents, caregivers, seekers—who want to come home to themselves without pressure or performance.
